Week two in
Seattle – 10/8/12 – 10/12/12
Week 2 is
(almost) over and the more time I spend here, the more I like it!
The weather
is not the best anymore and it is becoming a bit colder – but still no rain!
Last week I
told you about my lovely new “family” and about the food my host mom Betty is
making for me.
This was my
breakfast today - Friday, and
something like this is, what Betty is making to me every morning – she is just so
sweet!
I have also been taking some photos of my room for the next two-month – it is very comfortable and I like it. As you can see is it already messy with my things, but that is just because I’m feeling like I’m “home”.
A great day with the whole class:

Monday
after school Elise colored my hair – which I needed very much. Wednesday I went
to a park and out for dinner with some of my classmates. Thursday after school
Simone, Line, Elise, Cecilia and I were on café to plan our Big trip this
weekend – I will tell more about that next week!
But today –
Friday, the whole class have been in Seattle Downtown together, so no classes!
The first thing we went to was the famous Space needle, where the view was fantastic. After that we went down to the harbor to get something to eat – of course was it chicken/fish and chips! When we had finished, we went to the Gum Wall – a huge wall where people puts their gum, a little bit weird, but still a cool and funny thing. After the Gum Wall, we all went to the Pike Place Market – a huge market where all the stuff is handmade. I liked that place very much and just enjoyed to look at all of the different and cool stuff people have been making. I walked with Line and Simone, where we found this really cool shop, where Line bought a nice thing to have her camera in and I found a lovely shirt! Simone and I also found the best hassle nut I have ever tasted. When we had been looking around for almost two hours, we had some time for our self. We took the monorail back to space needle and we went back to the school.

With the
class went we to Alderwood Mall to have dinner and after that we all went
bowling together – it has been such a good day!
The view is
just so fantastic from the top in Space Needle – unfortunately was the weather
not the best, so you could not see so far as normal, but it was still very
beautiful!
The Gum
Wall and this is actually not the whole wall! – the other picture shows Line,
Simone and my contribution to the wall.
Some
pictures from the Pike Place Market – a lot of people in a small place, but
still a great place!
But as I
told you, I have planned a trip for the weekend with 4 other girls – this is a
trip to Canada, Vancouver from Saturday – Monday, I can’t wait! But I will tell
you a lot more about that, when I come home.
To you in
Denmark, have a great autumn holiday!
... After reading your post, I'm even more envious (which I didn't think possible!). The trip seems to develop into an unforgettable experience. Just remember not to fill your suitcase with clothes only two weeks in. Save some space for one of those paragliders to bring home - I'd really like to try one!
SvarSletI look forward to the next post of yours!
- Mathias
By the way, your English is awesome!
The best part of this is when you said "because I am feeling at home"!!!!!!
