A mixed week 7

11/13/12 – 11/18/12

New family and basketball

This week has been a little bit sad, because I had to change family again. I couldn’t live in the house because the house had some health problems, so I had to move to a new family, the third one. So now I live with a divorced mom and four other students from China and Taiwan. I hope the last time will be good and that it is a good family.
Besides that it has been a good week, not that much in the weekdays, just the normal things.
Saturday I went to Portland again with 8 other people from I class. So we took the bus as always. The whole day went on with shopping, especially for the others, because they not had been there before, only Simone and I. so after the shopping we had dinner all together.
Sunday it was time to basketball, which was why we went to Portland. We watched Portland vs. Chicago and the game ended 102-94, so fortunately Portland won the game. It was a really cool experience, a bit different from the football, but still good!

Ready for some Basketball - Portland Trail Blazers (white) vs. Chicago Bulls (black).
The game ended 102-94.

A “quiet” week 6

11/5/12 – 11/12/12

I think this has been the “quietest” week, but still a week over here can’t be quiet!

In school we had our last labs and we don’t have as much homework as we did last weeks. The schooldays has been quiet and relaxed. But we have still been doing something, of course!
All the girls have been to tea party at Sara and her hostmom. We have celebrated Martins birthday.
Simone, Line and I went to Seattle Saturday, where we went to the library, which I had not seen. We walked really much that day and we were in the tallest building in Seattle – the view was fantastic and we were so lucky with the weather!  We also went down to the lovely pike place market, which I love very much! Otherwise we just shopped (again), had dinner and a good time in this fabulous city, sad that we soon have to leave it!
Monday it was Veterans Day, where people pay tribute to the soldiers in war, so that means no school – time to visit a new city, Bellevue! I did that with Line and Simone, because many from the class were in Vancouver. We had heard that Bellevue was a rich place to live, so we were a bit excited to wee if this was true and it was! The city was so clean and new, you could see that people who walked around often was very fine people! So we had a good day in the expensive city!

Portland and Football!

11/2/12 – 11/4/12

The last weekend was so good – a wonderful trip and football!

PORTLAND!

Friday Simone, Line and I finished school early, so we had decided to go to Portland in Oregon – the tax-free state! So at about 12.30 we were on our way to Portland!
Since it was only one night, we had decided that you could take a more expensive and luxury hotel – so what is better than a Hilton Hotel?!

When we got to the hotel, we were very exited to see our room – and we did not get disappointed at all! So before we went out shopping, we had to be at the hotel just for a little bit! All three of us felt like “rich kids” J. After some time at the hotel we went out to see the city and of course to SHOP! The first shop we went to was Apple, where we all got a new Ipad – our small babies! We had some more shopping and dinner before we went back to the hotel. We wanted to be at the hotel as much as possible, because it was so good – so we were back about 9pm. When we got back, we got this idea, crazy some would say – but we decided to order room service for some dessert. That was really funny to try, but also expensive! We were up almost the whole night, to enjoy our dessert, the new things we had bought and the room!

The next day we went down to have some breakfast – luckily we had paid for it, as we had ordered our room. But the breakfast was really good and the other people on the hotel just starred at us – also kind a fun, to see how big difference there were on the people that were on the hotel in Vancouver and here, because here you could easily see that they got some money!
But after the breakfast, we went up to our room to pack our stuff, so we could go shopping, again! So at 3.30pm we went back home again.
We had such a good time all three of us and we really enjoyed it - even though it was a very expensive trip!

Arrived to Portland – lovely city!

Ready for Hilton hotel and luxury!

We can’t wait to see our room!

SPORT!

Sunday it was time for one more American football game – this was just much bigger, because it was a professional game. So the whole class and I went to Seattle to watch Seattle Seahawks vs. Minnesota Vikings. Since I’m really like sports, I think it was such a cool experience and I’m so glad that we all went to it!

Number one: I have never been on such a big stadium just for sport!
Number two: The support to the teams were amazing!
Number three: It is so cool that the fans are mixed over here – just behind us there were two Seahawks fans and three Vikings fans and they didn’t do anything to each other – I wouldn’t dare that in DK!

I really think we could learn something from the Americans when it comes to this!
But the best thing of it was, that Seattle Seahawks ended up winning the game 30-20!

Ready to see some American football!
